Oscillate Wildly

Here is my new KitchenAid! I used it to make three huge batches of cookie dough to send out to folks, which is a good thing. But now here is the bad news. In the middle of baking said cookies, my oven died. It's not really the best oven to begin with, but this just really took the cake. Oh well. That's how the cookie crumbles. I'd get it fixed, but I just don't have the dough for that kind of thing. So, to those whom I promised cookies, please bear with me.

  1. If you're renting a place, you don't have to shell out the money for broken appliances! Talk to your landlady/lord, and legally they have to fix it!

Also, love all the baking puns.

  2. In the meantime, you can give the dough as a gift. It'll be like a take-n-bake pizza.

  3. My favorite choc. chip dough ages in the fridge for 36 hours prior to baking. Roll that dough up into a column and give it to a friend as a gift.

  4. oh i never bake cookies straight after mixing the dough. i mixed the dough on saturday to bake on monday. but either way, unbaked cookie dough doesn't really mail very well. so it's all stashed in the freezer at this point.
